I first heard about celebrating Pi Day (March 14 -- 3.14) in 2002. Since that time, my students, my colleagues, and I have come to look forward to that special day each year. Students now start talking about their Pi Day project ideas during the first weeks of school. We have done many kinds of projects, and the creativity shown by so many people has been amazing.
On this page you will find links to PowerPoint games and other activities to use in your math classes when you celebrate Pi Day. Feel free to copy and save the files for your own use. If you copy the files, I would love to hear from you. Please email me and let me know how they worked for you. I would also love to know about any suggestions you might have for improvement or ideas for other activities.
Check back from time to time. New ideas are always in the works, and I will post those as they are developed.
A good site for lots of other Pi Day resources is the MEGSL Pi Day page.
On my Presentations/Projects page you will find materials from a presentation describing a Pi Day activity called "The Amazing Pi Race."
